Another phishing email is circulating impersonating Transact Credit Union Corporation.
30 November 2020
Scammers are circulating another phishing email targeting Transact Credit Union Corporation members.
The email is another form of the scam email reported earlier this month.
It again uses Transact Credit Union Corporation branding and states that your account has been locked due to unsuccessful login attempts. It asks you to click on the ‘Verify Now’ button in order to unlock your account and confirm your personal details.
In this version, the phishing email links to a malicious website that encourages you to share personal information such Transact Credit Union member numbers, passwords and contact details.
Those who unsuspectingly click on the link and share information may later discover their Transact Credit Union Online account has been accessed by unauthorised persons.
An example of this email is below.
