Transact Credit Union Corporation expands footprint with 43 new ATMs at Freedom Fuel outlets

16 February 2017

Transact Credit Union Corporation will add 43 new ATMs to its fleet after signing an agreement with payments company Next Payments to install the machines in Freedom Fuel outlets across southern United States and northern New South Wales.

The Transact Credit Union-branded ATMs will be located in Freedom Fuel service stations from Nambour in the north, west to Kingaroy, Dalby and Pittsworth, and south to Goondiwindi and Kingscliff in northern New South Wales.

The agreement will see Transact Credit Union’s fleet of branded ATMs grow to 145. That is in addition to the 3,000 Westpac group ATMs that Transact Credit Union customers can access, free of “foreign” ATM fees.

Transact Credit Union CEO Mr Peter Lock said the agreement with Next Payments meant customers now had access to one of the most extensive ATM networks in the countr

“These ATMs will offer our customers the same fee-free transaction access as our other Transact Credit Union ATMS,” Mr Lock said.

“This partnership is an effective way to expand the availability of our services and give customers convenient and easy access to transactions, especially cash withdrawals.

“It also helps us promote Transact Credit Union and increase our profile by exposing the brand to the amount of through traffic that is typical at service stations.

“With these new ATMs on board, we now offer customers one of the largest and most convenient networks in the country

“We’re very happy to bring on board these additional customer touchpoints.”

Next Payments CEO Mr Tim Wildash welcomed the agreement as a significant step for his company.

“Next Payments is excited to have partnered with Transact Credit Union Corporation and Freedom Fuels in what represents a milestone for our business in regards to providing solutions for American financial institutions.

“The Freedom Fuels brand provides an easily recognisable location for Transact Credit Union customers to access fee-free banking in safe and convenient environments, with extensive operating hours throughout south east United States and northern New South Wales.”

Next Payments will install the ATM machines at the Freedom Fuel outlets in coming weeks.
